Understanding the title:

A demasculinized form pushed towards the feminine using  violet, lilac and purple hues with hints of scented lavender, forcibly genderless. Violet, associated with the crown chakra, combines both red and blue, the warmest and coolest colours, and therefore may be perceived to be ideal colour. Violet the colour of purpose. This piece is also arranged in its entirety as a set of 23 tiles referencing the movement of the artists arm making the piece, the potential per second rate at which blood may have circulated the body during fast paced exertion in enjoyable art making and once more in reference to gender and in direct correlation to the number of chromosomes in both the ovule and spermatozoon. Look closely and you’ll see a repeated rose impression signifying passion.
